《孤雛淚》表演者招募面試 - 李淘

With Oliver! auditions coming up, we decided to speak to some of YAF’s performers, to ask them to share their auditioning tips! Oliver! audition spots are filling up - hurry and grab yours now before they are all gone! 

年度大型音樂劇《孤雛淚》表演者招募面試即將展開，我們特意邀請到曾經參與YAF過往活動的參加者，訪問他們參加表演面試的心得。名額有限，報名從速！

First up we have Rachael Lee, who joined YAF last year and has since performed in Arts in the Park, Matilda, The Peninsula 85th Anniversary dance performance and Ocean Art Walk 2014 in Stanley. She also participates in YAF’s visual arts programmes! 首先，我們邀請到李淘接受訪問。李淘曾參加本會AF去年的「渣打藝趣嘉年華」舞蹈演出、「瑪嬌達」劇場表演、「半島酒店85週年」及「海洋藝術展2014在赤柱」的舞蹈表演。她亦曾經參與本會的視藝活動。

Rae, what is your favorite thing about being in a show? 
I love being in shows because I get to work with a bunch of really cool people who can end up being good friends. It gives me more experience to improve my performance for the next show. It also teaches me to pick up directions and memorize things quicker and with more ease. 

為什麼你喜歡參與表演？ 
我喜歡表演是因為我能夠與優秀的人才合作，而活動結束後更會成為好朋友。表演讓我累積更多的經驗，提升往後的演出。表演亦教會我如何更容易更快速地熟習劇本。

What do you do to prepare for an audition? 
If I were auditioning for a part in a play, I would make sure I know my lines super well. Practicing it over and over again in front of a mirror or in front of friends until I know it like the back of my hand. If I were auditioning for a part in a dance, I would stretch a lot and then get a good night sleep. On the actual day of the audition, I would get warmed up just before the start of it. 

你在面試前要準備甚麼？ 
如果參加演員招募面試，我會緊記所有對白。然後在鏡子前或找個朋友來進行多番練習，直至我完全掌握劇本的一切。如果我參與舞蹈員招募面試，我會多做拉筋動作，然後在面試前一晚盡早休息。在面試當日，我會預先做好各種熱身動作，然後迎接面試。 

Top tips? 
Don’t be nervous ! Even though it’s an audition, calm down and just have fun with it. If you are nervous, you might freak out and mess up. Give yourself a moment to clear your head, you will be a lot more focused and on task. Be yourself, each audition is a time to present yourself, to show people what you can do. Make sure each word you say or each movement you make means something and has purpose and isn’t just some piece of trash. 

Energy, energy, energy. Key words to remember when working with YAF. Achieve this by moving with energy and using expression on your face and in your voice. This is my number one tip for any show or audition, perform with loads of energy as if this was your last performance ever! 

有何面試貼士？ 
不要緊張！儘管是一個面試，你亦只須冷靜面對，並享受箇中樂趣。若你過份緊張，你的表現反而會變得反常，甚至把面試弄糟。讓自己冷靜一下，保持頭腦消晰，你能更集中精神及完成面試。 忠於自己。每一次面試都是表現自己才能的機會。確保你的每句說話或每個動作都是有意義或代表著甚麼，而並非一些胡亂創作的東西。 活力、活力、活力。這是參與YAF活動的關鍵詞。要達到目標，你必須在一言一行、面部表情及聲量控制中都表現出你的活力。這是我參與任何演出或面試的首要貼士。試幻想這是最後一次的演出，你便能表現出無限的活力！

What are YAF rehearsals like? 
Rehearsals at YAF are very exciting, the energy level needs to be kept extremely high in order to have a good rehearsal. There are a lot of expectations that come with working with YAF, you must meet all of these expectations otherwise it could be your last show with YAF. 

能簡述一下YAF的綵排情況嗎？ 
在YAF的排練令人非常興奮，因為完美的綵排都需要非常高的能量。YAF對你的演出會抱著很大的期望，而你必須滿足這些期望才能繼續參與，否則這可能是你在YAF的最後一場演出。 

How did you learn about YAF? 
I learnt about YAF through my hip hop teacher, who invited me to be part of a dance for The Peninsula Hotel’s 85th Anniversary and I gladly agreed. Not long I was invited to be part of Arts in the Park 2013. I was extremely happy to be in a YAF show for the second time, and since then I have loved working with YAF. 

你從甚麼渠道認識YAF？ 
我的HIP HOP舞蹈老師向我介紹YAF，並邀請我參與「半島酒店85週年」的舞蹈表演。我當然十分樂意。不久後，我又被邀參加「藝趣嘉年華2013」。我非常開心能夠再次參與YAF的活動，自此我使愛上參加YAF的其他活動。
